Our latest software update is a significant milestone for Slimbox and our users, introducing a suite of new features, box models, and improvements designed to streamline your operations and provide more efficient packaging solutions.
New and Enhanced Box Models
Mushroom: The Slimbox mushroom is designed as a button to easily fix or close a box. With the new mushrooms, you’ll experience faster printing and easier handling for more efficient closing and folding. You can find these new mushrooms in the Fefco 201, Fefco 503, triangular tube, protection corners, and frame corners.
Air Buffer and Door Box: Now featuring new frame corners for improved stability and protection. Thanks for the inspiration, Du Pont!
Fefco 209: The bug that caused the box not to close perfectly on the bottom is resolved. Thanks, OptimaT, for the feedback!
Fefco 203: The Fefco 203 is perfect for packaging heavy products because of the double or triple bottom and/or top. Thanks for the co-creation, Maas CPS!
We’ve optimized the Fefco 203 and introduced new varieties:
The open Fefco 203
The Fefco 203 with a Fefco 203 lid
The Fefco 203 with a single lid
Panel Wrap: A new Slimbox box type that is perfect for packaging thin, large panels exceeding 1x1 meter, offering enhanced protection and easier handling.
Fefco 400: Enjoy faster printing and handling—another great solution for packaging fragile, thin products. One of the panels has been optimized for better performance. Special thanks to PBS for the co-creation!
Doorbox: A new box type to easily package panels lager than 1 meter. We received help from Telluria for the idea and feedback; thanks!
U-Profile: A new profile added to provide extra protection for fragile sides of products, mainly panels.
Individually Printable Corners: Both protection corners and frame corners can now be printed separately, providing greater flexibility and print optimization.
Modular printed boxes: After this update, it will be possible for boxes composed of different parts to print the different parts separately as well (for doorboxes & both whitegood boxes).
Bug Fixes and Improvements
Calibration Optimization: Resolved calibration issues for more accurate calibration of the Slimbox when necessary.
Print Order Deletion: Fixed the bug related to removing ongoing print orders; implemented automatic reset for smoother operations.
Auto-Rotation: Now enabled by default to ensure optimal use of cardboard.
Multiple Favorites Selection: You can now select multiple favorites simultaneously for quicker deletion.
New Load & Unload Procedure for Corrugated Material
We've created a faster and more efficient way for loading and unloading corrugated to enhance your convenience and efficiency.
API 2.0
We’ve conducted a complete overhaul of our API, making it easier to implement, integrate, and use. This API (2.0) allows you to easily integrate the Slimbox into your fulfilment or production flow, connecting to your ERP or WMS. Our new API also allows you to combine different products into one order or package.

Order Scan Functionality: Scan orders with parameters including:
Length, Width, Height
Product name
SKU number
User Order Delivery ID
Standard Box Model Selection: Choose a standard box model for repeated use.
Specific Box Selection: Select a specific box to meet unique packaging requirements.
Product Combinations: Combine different products into a single package for increased efficiency calculated by the software.
Delivery ID Engraving: The Delivery ID can be engraved as a label inside the box for better traceability.
Favorites from SKU: Create favorites based on your SKUs for quicker access and organization & link to your SKU nummer so you can scan & print automatically.

What's Next?
Personalized Catalog per Customer: In the next update, it will be possible for Slimbox to personalize the box catalog—boxes or specifications tailored specifically for individual customers, enhancing customization and satisfaction.
New Box Type Organization: Improved organization of box types, including:
Displaying only selected boxes
Organizing boxes for easier selection
Machine Control Adjustments: Enhancements in machine control for smoother operation and better performance.
SVG Organization: A unified menu for all SVGs and SVG management for easier access and organization.
